I am Tammy Colbert, ICMG, CAH. Being a California native and growing up in beautiful Huntington Beach, I have seen the growth of our city over the years.
I have been grooming for almost 35 years. After graduating Huntington Beach High School, I went to school at Hacienda/ La Puente Adult School for Dog Grooming. When I graduated I worked in a little grooming shop in Fountain Valley. I also entered my first grooming contest at that time, in which I won first place with a Miniature Schnauzer. I soon got the bug for competing. I have won many many awards in the competition ring, including Las Vegas SuperZoo Jackpot class of $20,000 in September 2009.
I have traveled across the United States competing. I retired October 2013 in Barcelona, Spain. Now I am enjoying retirement from the competition ring to judge grooming contests all over the world, Australia, China to name a few.
I am also a Certified Master Groomer through International Professional Groomers Association and Terrier Certified with National Dog Groomers of America Association. Plus I am one of the 5 founding members and Treasurer of California Professional Pet Groomers Association. Also I am a certified Companion Animal Hygienist.
When I am not working I enjoy my own dogs. You will see me either riding my bike around Huntington Beach, hanging with my two sons Andy and Ryan, or at a dog show showing my Bedlington Terriers. My prefix is Wildwynd Bedlingtons.
